Laurie Ann Kleinman M.D.
Board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation
Laurie Ann Kleinman M.D. is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has over 18 years of experience treating patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Kleinman uses conventional diagnostic modalities, prescription medications, patient education, and physical therapy. In addition, Dr. Kleinman also practices acupuncture and Eastern Medicine.
She has been in private practice for many years both in the Southern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group and in Salinas since 1993.
Dr. Kleinman completed her undergraduate degree in physiology at University of California, Berkeley. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University / Chicago Medical School in 1986. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan before earning a residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. Dr. Kleinman completed her Medical Acupuncture training through Stanford University/ Helms Medical Institute. She has also completed the Five Element Physician Training Program under the direction of Charles Moss M.D. and Ron Puhky M.D. Dr. Kleinman has also been trained by Martha Lucas Ph.D. L.Ac. in Mei Zen – Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture. In addition, Dr. Kleinman is currently training to become a certified Medical QiGong instructor. Dr. Kleinman’s special interest is treating patients with body, mind, and spirit imbalances.
Dr. Laurie Kleinman feels blessed to have been able to take time from her medical practice to raise her three children who are her greatest joy.
The Monterey-based spine center attracts patients from a wide area, including residents in the cities of Salinas, Pebble Beach, Hollister, Carmel, Seaside, Marina, Del Monte, Pacific Grove and inland Northern California like Fresno and Clovis.
